Oversee the daily operations of a 7-bay detail shop.
Perform daily opening and closing duties.
Recruit, train, supervise, and manage detail shop staff, including detailers and car runners, while handling discipline when necessary.
Effectively coordinate and assign work tasks.
Inspect completed vehicles to ensure they meet high-quality standards.
Manage relationships with vendors to ensure the shop is fully stocked with necessary supplies and materials.
Provide driving, detailing, and additional services as required.
Lead and supervise the detailing team to deliver exceptional service.
Use expertise in car wash, detailing, and buffing to train and guide team members.
Plan and coordinate schedules and workflow to meet customer demands efficiently.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and building operations are properly maintained.
Apply strong management skills to optimize operations and achieve business objectives.
Collaborate with the Hyundai Service Director to address staffing, process, or operational concerns.
Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; an Associate's degree in a business-related field preferred. A two-year degree from an automotive school is an advantage.
1-2 years of management experience required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn dealership-specific platforms like X-Time.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Must be self-driven, detail-oriented, organized, and able to lead others while possessing strong problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license required, with the ability to meet the dealership's driver eligibility criteria as determined by the insurance company.
A minimum of two years of experience in a retail or dealership detail shop is preferred.
Additional Information:
Pay Range: $65k-$70k
Schedule: M-F 8:00 am - 4:30 pm(approximately 45 hours/week) Must be available to both open and close the shop each day.
