Analyst - Disputes, Claims, & Investigations Consulting

Analysts in the Disputes, Claims, & Investigations group work primarily as financial consultants on engagements within a litigation setting. Common engagements include: forensic accounting, fraud investigations, valuation, shareholder disputes, intellectual property disputes, employment disputes, quantification of commercial damages, and quantifying complex insurance claims.

As an Analyst, a typical day might include the following:

• Developing and reviewing economic damage models in the context of various types of legal disputes


• Reviewing, organizing, and analyzing project documents and information, such as financial statements and data, deposition transcripts and exhibits, legal briefs and court filings, copies of email communications and other business records produced by the parties to a dispute


• Reviewing policy evidence, evaluate damages, and allocate damages across available insurance coverage


• Performing industry, company, or technical research


• Reviewing opposing expert reports and identifying any flaws contained within


• Attending meetings and client calls


• Preparing information requests and quality control checks


• Assisting in business development activities, such as writing proposals and professional articles


• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve engagements and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.

As an Analyst, you will be integrated into a firm where culture and exceptional client service is inspired from leadership down. Regular interactions with senior professionals and clients are part of the role, offering broad exposure.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance preferred; Economics or related discipline will also be considered


• Strong academic record of at least a 3.2 GPA (required)


• Relevant internship experience and/or extracurricular related experiences (preferred)


• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)


• Strong analytical, verbal, technical and written skills


• Superior communication and interpersonal skills


• Must be eligible to work in the US, without employer sponsorship, at the time of hire and in the future.

The range for this role considers several factors including but not limited to prior work and industry experience, education level, and unique skills. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
