Environmental, Health, and Safety Co-Op - Spring 2025Here at Entegris, we use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world, and we are seeking employees who have the drive to continue the mission.The Role:Our site in Riegelwood is seeking a/an Environmental, Health, and Safety Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.The co-op will help ensure Entegris meets compliance obligations by defining and implementing best management practices while working jointly with various departments and various stakeholders. This may include working with any from chemical operators to the site leader.Key projects may include: Process Safety (PSM), ergonomic assessments and implementation of ergonomic improvements, air emission calculations and implementation of new software, support of waste minimization projects, and support sustainability efforts and initatives.What You’ll Do: • Project: Process Safety support such as process information creation, line breaking program creation and implementation, supporting car seal program implementation, and applicability study. • Project: Hazardous waste compliance streamlining, source reduction, and cost improvements through sustainable disposal, blending, and incineration. • Project: Ergonomic Assessments and Improvements: Work will employees to identify high risk ergonomic tasks. Work to implement improvements for these risks (engineering controls, administrative controls, elimination of hazard, etc). This would improve the ability to eliminate serious injury, lost time accident rate and worker compensation costs. • Project: Air Emissions: Help support new air emissions software implementation and air emissions calculations • Project: Sustainability: Work with employees to identify areas where sustainability efforts can be implemented. This could include water, air, or nitrogen usage or recycling. This will also include supporting/leading sustainability "treasure hunts."What We Seek: • Environmental Engineer Candidate or Environmental, Health, and Safety Degree Candidate (3rd or 4th year) • Coursework in environmental science and health and safety • Monday-Friday day shiftOutstanding Candidates Will Have: • Team-oriented and have a problem-solving approach to a production environment • Strong communication skills • Some level of project management skills • Interactions with process engineering, operations, new product development, and facilities teams • Some level of knowledge of chemical processing equipment • Experience with excel and pivot tables, Word, and PowerPoint • Good analytical skills in assessing relevance and accuracy of data • High level of organizationDesired Major(s) & Graduation Year:Desired Major: Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Safety, or Environmental ScienceMust be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programWhat We OfferAt Entegris, we invest in providing opportunity to our employees and promote from within.
