Process Chemist Co-Op

Job Description:

The Role:
Our site in Riegelwood, NC is seeking a Process Chemist Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. Process Chemist Co-op will support Process Safety and cost savings initiatives for the site.

What You’ll Do:
• Revision of SOPs and manufacturing work instructions to current standard to comply with Process Safety requirements.
• Support of cost savings projects through yield improvements, reduced variance and cycle time improvement.
• Waste minimization through usage reduction and recycling opportunities.

What We Seek:
• Chemistry background, some lab experience preferred (including on campus)
• Strong written communication and documentation skills

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
• SAP experience
• Experience in chemical manufacturing

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:
• Chemistry, graduating in Spring 2025 or later

Eligibility:

• Must be a currently enrolled student

• Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January 2025-June 2025

• Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
