Information Service Associate - JFK John F. Kennedy Airport - Part Time

$18 - $19 / hour

Weekly hours will average 27 a week

Availability must include weekends and holidays

BASIC JOB FUNCTION

The Information Services Associate provides guests information related to their airport visit, including but not limited to answering general questions, giving directions, providing quick solutions to customer problems utilizing approved resources provided by JFKIAT. Maintains a professional and positive attitude, in-person, phone, and email.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 


  • Respond to inquiries and provide assistance as requested by airport guests.

  • Follow through with guest request until services are completed to guest satisfaction.

  • Conduct customer surveys as directed.

  • Assist guests with airline & flight information including but not limited to, reading flight information display system (FIDS), airline tickets, & itineraries.

  • Represent the airport and Smarte Carte in a customer focused, professional manner.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE


  • Previous experience in a fast-paced customer facing role

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Ability to pass airport badging requirements.


  • General knowledge of JFK Airport, terminals, and surrounding area.

  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to use computer-based reporting tools.


  • Smartphone proficient.


  • Enthusiastic, positive, poised, self-motivated, and professional

EDUCATION


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

     

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES


  • Airport Badge is required

     

PHYSICIAL REQUIREMENTS


  • Walk & stand for duration of shift.
