The Ideal Candidate for this role will have high quality standards, mature judgement, and strong organizational work habits. Our Digital Press operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting Digital Presses and finishing equipment to meet daily production and quality goals in a safe and efficient manner. He/she/they must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the printing industry, specifically with an understanding of variable digital printing, PHI, and secure mail along with an above average skillset with computers/technology platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ripping files produced from data files using digital print equipment.
• Digitally manipulating color calibration set-up to meet expectations for color target.
• Reviewing all proofs and final product samples produced on digital equipment before releasing to internal or external customers.
• Performs standard QC checks and processes to ensure quality expectations are met
• Conduct regular and special maintenance on equipment to achieve maximum machine performance based on equipment specifications and acquired knowledge of machine operations.
• Record maintenance and service calls in maintenance logbook as required.
• Set up, operate, and maintain color digital and black only imaging equipment
• Perform operator maintenance and work with phone support to trouble shoot issues.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Monitor supply levels and assist with consumable orders.
• Performs other duties as assigned as well as occasional overtime

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Good communication and writing skills are essential to appropriately interpret production tickets.
• Interaction with co-workers in a professional manner is a key component of the position.
• 2-5 years of experience as an digital Press operator (IGen, Xerox and/or Canon), running and troubleshooting presses.
• Mechanical aptitude as it applies to set up and maintain equipment, including the in-depth knowledge of the press capabilities.
• Attention to detail for Quality Standard Inspections.

Preferred Education/Training and Systems

• Experience in set up, troubleshooting, maintenance and operation of Xerox and IGEN press
• A High School diploma/GED along with the equivalent industry related experience and training
• Digital front end production software experience
