PURPOSE: Responsible for the manufacturing processes and the personnel.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):
Direct and coordinate all activities of a production department through core team members
Manage extended team members from cross functional departments within organization
Ensure, develop, and continually improve processes using root cause analysis, promote safe work practices, and environmental performance within the department
Adhere to and ensure that quality product is manufactured within department
Responsible for driving attainment of all departmental goals and metrics
Responsible for staffing the department to meet customer and production requirements and continually improve flexibility of this workforce
Conduct departmental performance ratings
Responsible for maximizing the profitability of departmental operations
Reports to the Plant Manager, Machine Division
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Technical or Engineering degree preferred
Prior management or supervisory experience and/or some supervisory training required
Able to communicate and deal effectively with all levels of the organization
Strong customer focus
Uncompromising attitude toward safety, environment, health, and quality
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent leadership, organizational, and motivational skills
Ability to handle employee and production issues in an efficient and professional manner
Ability to initiate and implement change while gaining acceptance from employees
Basic knowledge of PC board components, products, and manufacturing processes.
Basic computer skills including proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, MES, SAP, and Apriso
Knowledge of relevant company policies and procedures (anti-harassment, affirmative action, merit rating/PDS, etc)
