WHO YOU ARE & WHAT YOUD DO

The Social Media Associate will join the Brand Team and report to the Brand Content Manager. The responsibilities of the Brand Team at American Meadows, Inc., include expression, strategy, and awareness for the American Meadows and High Country Gardens brands. This team is highly creative, with roles that cover public relations (PR) and partnership marketing, search engine optimization (SEO) strategy, organic social media and content strategy, graphic design, photography and video production, and overall brand strategy. Our goal is to connect with our community by sharing our expertise, demonstrating our authority, and earning their trust.
The Social Media Associate role is an entry level position, with responsibilities that support the successful implementation of the content and social media strategies for both American Meadows and High Country Gardens. Both brands have fast-growing social media audiences, with over 500,000 followers across our combined social media channels. Primary channels include Instagram and Facebook, and we are looking for our Social Media Associate to help both brands engage with our existing audience, while helping us to grow our participation on Pinterest, TikTok, and YouTube.
This role will be the front line of communication with our social media followers year-round. Having a customer-focused mindset is important we consider our social media audience as customers, as many are already customers, and the rest are leads who can be potential customers! Through working with the Brand Team, you will develop an understanding of our product assortment, our website content, and our customer service practices to be able to make good recommendations to inquiries.
There is some seasonality in the position, with spring and summer being the most active time in our social media community. When social media engagement is slower, responsibilities will shift to content production.
The Brand Team and Content Manager will provide guidance in the forms of a Social Media strategy and a Content Strategy. At American Meadows, Inc, we see social media as an integral part of our overarching Content Strategy.
Creative content is produced by members of the Brand Team, and some will also be produced by the Social Media Associate. Good copywriting skills and a good eye for design will be beneficial in this role - but so will an open mind to learn the established graphic styles and brand voice for American Meadows and High Country Gardens.

Read all comments and messages in social inboxes, respond to questions and comments, respond to brand mentions, amplify or share content from brand ambassadors, partners, and customers.Moderate misinformation or negative comments following brand guidelines.Mine social media listening and document pain points, insights, and sentiment to share with the larger organization.

Achieve "inbox zero" on a daily basis, with all comments /messages responded.Weekly debrief on pain points, insights, and sentiment.Develop and demonstrate an understanding of our product assortment, our website content, and our customer service practices, in order to be able to make good recommendations to inquiries.

Create content pages for Publishing for American Meadows and High Country Gardens:
Brand Team will produce copy, imagery, and/or graphics for content. When it's ready to publish, the Social Media Associate will use templates to publish pages onto the live website.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED required.Experience with social media for business and/or customer service preferred.Good working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and TikTok.Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Were gardeners you should be too or at least possess a thirst to learn!
