RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Engineer (AWS/Spark/Scala) in Smithfield, RI.

Summary:
In this role, you will consolidate Data Platform (Performance Measurement and Analysis Product). The team is looking for a Lead Technologist to build and support various business intelligence applications on as part of Consolidated Data Platform initiative.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required, Master's degree a plus


• 10+ years of hands-on experience in architecting, designing, and developing highly scalable distributed data processing systems on Bigdata platforms


• 8+ years of experience in object-oriented programming language like Java


• 5+ years of experience on RDBMS and writing SQL


• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Snowflake, Spark using Scala, AWS, AWS Batch, Data processing


• 3+ years of experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (JenkinsCore, GitHub)


• Experience in implementing batch and real-time Big Data integration frameworks and/or applications


• Basic understanding of Hadoop Ecosystem & HDFS File System


• Experience working with Financial Industry and understanding of clearing/custody data is highly desirable

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
