Job Summary



This post is for a Machine Operator PR06 position, specifically a Cage Repair Operator. It is scheduled for 1st shift. It has a base pay of $16.80 per hour.


This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and providing technical support for machine systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson Foods policies and procedures.


This position is responsible for repairing damaged cages that are used to transport live birds.



Work Schedule and Pay:



This position is scheduled for 1st Shift, Monday-Friday 6 am- 3 pm. The base pay is $16.60 per hour.



Job Tasks:



Inspect Live Haul Trailers for damaged cages. Unbind damaged cages. Operate Moffett and/or loader/unloader to remove damaged cages from trailer. Transport damaged cage to shop area. Repair damage by using either a torch or a welder to interchange parts or by making any other repairs as needed. Keep tools and work area clean. Follow all Live Haul safety rules. Perform other job duties assigned by management which may include checking wing tips and bird temps.



Job Requirements:



Must have the ability to operate small tools and welders. Must be able to weld. Stick welding is preferred, but not required. Must meet internal requirements to operate an all-terrain Moffett or loader/unloader. Must have an AR Driver License with MVR--Class "A" CDL preferred, but not required.


Must be able to stoop, bend, squat, and climb. Appropriate personal protection equipment is required. Regular lifting from 11% - 100% of the time up to 45 lbs. and occasional lifting up to- 10% of the time over 45 lbs. May require long periods of standing. Some jobs have repetitive motions, utilizing hand and wrist motions. Must be able to withstand extreme environmental conditions during all seasons of the year. Must be able to work in a dusty, non-toxic environment.



Must have three (3) months of Machine Operator experience listed on application or attached resume. Applications without that experience listed will not be considered.

This facility accepts rehires after 365 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than two previous times for Tyson. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
