Job Description:

Williams Lea is hiring for a Communication Coordinator for our Columbus, OH office to work Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm!




Pay: $24.00/hour

The Communications Coordinator is a detailed-oriented and versatile professional who will ensure that our Press Releases, posted on our intranet and website, reflect high standards and style. The Communications Coordinator will develop a deep understanding of the internal processes used to produce, edit, and update new Press Releases for a variety of our professionals and clients. To succeed, you must be well-organized; have strong proofreading, editing, and communication skills; and be passionate about delivering exceptional client service in a global law firm.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Follow our press release processes, working closely with requestors and the marketing team






  • Carefully proof all press releases






  • Rewrite content when necessary, amending or revising to ensure press releases reflect our style and ensuring client confidentiality






  • Research information from client websites for drafting press releases.






  • Draft new press releases






  • Work with the marketing team to hyperlink press releases back to client website






  • Provide quality control






  • Complete requests in a timely, efficient and accurate manner






  • Effectively communicate with requestors, including providing status updates on press releases in progress, soliciting input as needed, and securing approval to publish






  • Conduct outreach to lawyers and professionals to drive the process forward






  • Other tasks as needed





KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES




  • Excellent proofreading, writing and editing skills






  • Strong process execution skills






  • High proficiency in MS Word, Excel and data management software






  • Effective communication skills






  • Ability and willingness to build strong relationships and navigate across a matrixed organization






  • Impeccable attention to detail





EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS




  • 1-2+ years of corporate communications experience (preferably in the legal/professional services sector) or journalism experience






  • BA, BS or equivalent
