THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN KNOXVILLE, TN
JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the supervision of the Program Medical Director, the Administrative Director- UT Center for Advanced Medical Simulation directs the operational and administrative activities of the UT Center for Advanced Medical Simulation (UTCAMS). This position supervises the use of facilities and equipment by any group or organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs all administrative activities for UTCAMS including monitoring budgets, personnel management, equipment, and supply procurement, and coordinating management meetings.
Participates in the planning, implementation, and administration of the educational, technical, and research activities of UTCAMS.
Generates, maintains, and submits required ACS Accreditation documents for both the UT Center for Advanced Medical Simulation and the Medical Education and Simulation Fellowship.
Manages external funding for UTCAMS activities through identifying and establishing external relationships with the industry, community, governmental agencies, and other academic institutions.
Initiates and maintains program policies and procedures documents.
Manages program utilization data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Oversees facilities management including renovations, moves, maintenance, and ongoing facilities operations.
Manages the standardized patient/participant program for UTCAMS including but not limited to recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, and payments of SP’s for all UTCAMS educational activities requiring this resource.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Education, Business Administration, or related field. (Master’s Degree preferred.) (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE: Seven (7) years of experience in healthcare or related job discipline; OR a Master’s Degree and five (5) years of experience in healthcare or related job discipline.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of simulation technologies or the ability to learn simulation-based technologies quickly.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
Strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Ability to manage and work on multiple projects and changing priorities.
