Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled qTest Test Management consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in test management, with a strong focus on utilizing qTest for administering, executing, and managing testing activities. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers to deliver the implementation of qTest, training and coaching sessions for implementation and utilization of test management based on the specific industry and customer needs.

Job Duties:

Scope, define and deliver test management delivery projects with Tricentis qTest.

Develop training materials and deliver coaching sessions on qTest Administration and

Management for large scale customers focusing areas:


  • Administer and manage the qTest platform, including setting up projects, users, and permissions.


  • Configure and maintain test plans, test cases, and test execution cycles within qTest.


  • Ensure proper integration of qTest with other tools in the testing ecosystem, such as JIRA, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation tools.


  • Write custom workflows with node js or other scripting languages.


  • Adding remote execution agents and integrating custom agents using qTest launch


Provide training and support to the customer on qTest usage and best practices.

Develop and manage test management operating model and customer transformations with Tricentis products.

Identify future scope of Tricentis services involvement within customer delivery for test management implementation.

Promote adherence to QA standards and methodologies, ensuring consistent and thorough testing practices.

Identify opportunities for process improvement within the testing lifecycle, implementing enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness for customer implementation.

Troubleshoot customer issues with the test management implementation and configurations with Tricentis products. Consultant should provide resolutions by collaborating with solution architects, support, and product teams.

Partner closely and provide feedback to the product and engineering team on technical issues, and features.

Collaborate with customer QA, development, and product teams to define test strategies and plans.

Hands-on experience in creating reports using qTest Insights and integration with Power BI tools for custom reporting.

Provide recommendations to customers for the QA metrics and dashboards to track on.

Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.


  • 2-4 years of software testing and quality assurance consulting experience.


  • Proficiency in test management, including integrations, test planning, execution, and reporting. Preferably with Tricentis products (qTest, Tosca).


  • 1-2 years of experience with delivering training and coaching sessions for larger audience.


  • Exceptional customer-centric focus.


  • Ability to work independently and within a team, demonstrating initiative and accountability.


  • Good understanding of agile practices.


  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks and integration with qTest is a plus.


  • Understanding of CI/CD processes and their integration with test management tools.


  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues effectively.


  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality services delivery and documentation.


  • Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to larger audience.


  • qTest administration or related certification (preferred).


  • Ability to travel 20% - 30% of the time.
