As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Lead to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Data Buoy Center (NDBC).
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Core responsibilities of the Finance Lead will include, but are not limited to:
Support all financial and accounting aspects of the contract of National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) Technical Support Services contract
Review project costs and report variances
Prepare/review/submit monthly invoices to the Government
Prepare detailed monthly EACs for all contract lines for customers
Monitor contract performance in relation to the proposal baseline
Serve as the primary reviewer of all billing details to ensure invoices are accurate and complete
Track Limitation of Funds for contract tasking CLINs and provide input to Contracts for submission to the Government.
Perform all cost transfers and cleanup of all billing issues
Create and set-up charge codes
Ensure accrual/journal entries for monthly closing are accurate and submitted in a timely manner
Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts
Monitor/audit timekeeping accuracy project wide and provide feedback regarding needed corrections to the applicable Lead/Manager in a timely manner
Perform financial analysis through reporting and forecasting orders, sales, and cash flow
Support the response to internal and external inquiries for financial data (including audits)
Meet regularly with the NDBC Government Financial Team
Supervision of the NDBC Accounting Specialist
Liaise with other functions/departments so as to understand all necessary company needs
Requirements of the Finance Lead:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's Degree preferred)
8+ years of financial experience (Government Contract experience preferred)
