Job Description:

The Aspenwood Company has an opportunity for a Director of Life Enrichment - Memory Care at our Village of Southampton location an Independent Living, Assisted Living with Memory Care senior living community.
Pay Rate: $50,000/yr.
The Director of Memory Care provides leadership for resident well-being in the community by directing administration of the memory care neighborhood, to promote the health and wellness of the resident population. Must be able to plan, implement, direct and monitor effective Memory Care systems in accordance with the company's philosophy, policies, resident rights, and state regulations. The Director of Memory Care will work in conjunction with the clinical team by assisting with all administrative duties that enhance clinical operations in the Memory Care neighborhood. Must ensure a person-centered culture is implemented and practiced. Abides by and upholds the company core values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Develops and implements activities and events appropriate for residents with dementia within the established monthly and annual budget constraints.
Develop monthly calendars and newsletters.
Maintains Life Skills station to reflect current resident population
Investigate and resolve resident and family concerns and complaints, while partnering with clinical leadership to address clinical concerns.
Responsible for training associates on the SOAR program in addition to the expectations for the Memory Care environment.
Coordinate assignments for Memory Care staff and maintain daily staffing assignment sheets.
Maintains high staff morale and fosters a supportive work environment.
Addresses issues and/or concerns as requested by the Executive Director.
Respond to concerns of residents, families, and visitors by providing immediate and courteous assistance.
Maintains a pro-active approach to resident and family satisfaction with frequent communication with families/RP.
Provides superior customer service preserving resident retention.
Assist in development of the service plans and assessments as needed.
Maintains adequate supplies and assists Executive Director to monitor the budget to include labor metrics to assure budget compliance.
Assists in obtaining Life History form from family/RP.
Collaborate with Sales partners and Clinical Leadership to determine community capability and assess potential residents' appropriateness for move-in.
May assist with transfers and move-outs.
Collaborates with community leadership to maintain regulatory compliance.
Participates in the Manager on Duty (MOD) rotation.
Member of the community's emergency response team.
Maintains a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
