Position Overview:
The Commercial Construction Superintendent will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of complex construction projects, specifically focusing on ground-up retail jobs. This position requires a seasoned professional who can manage all aspects of the construction process, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:


  • Project Management:



    • Lead and coordinate all phases of ground-up construction

    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project delivery.

    • Monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.




  • Quality Assurance:



    • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and project specifications.

    • Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality and adherence to plans.

    • Address any deviations promptly and effectively.




  • Schedule and Budget Management:



    • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deadlines.

    • Monitor project costs, track expenses, and manage budget allocations.

    • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.




  • Team Leadership:



    • Supervise field staff, subcontractors, and labor crews.

    • Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and productivity.

    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.




  • Risk Mitigation:



    • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans.

    • Address unforeseen challenges promptly to minimize project disruptions.

    • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.




  • Communication:



    • Maintain clear communication channels with all stakeholders.

    • Provide regular project updates to management, clients, and other relevant parties.

    • Resolve conflicts and facilitate effective problem-solving.


  • Qualifications:


    • Minimum of 5-8 years of construction experience, with a focus on ground-up construction


    • Strong track record of successfully completing complex commercial construction projects on time and within budget.


    • Knowledge of industry best practices, safety protocols, and building codes.


    • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.


    • Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal.

    Compensation:

    • Base salary range: $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

    • Vehicle allowance, gas card, PTO, 401k, MDV insurance plans

    Location:

    • The position is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
