The Cash Connect Staff Accountant will reconcile general ledger accounts, identify and resolve exceptions and exposures, assist in the month-end close, and research aging items. The incumbent will also prepare various reports for management and external stakeholders, and monitor Cash Connect's activity through its financials.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Prepare assigned reconciliations that substantiate and document activity within general ledger accounts, while performing research, resolving exceptions and aged items, and posting ledger entries as needed.

  • Prepare reporting for operations, Bank Controllers, management, and external stakeholders to communicate rec status, issues, and insights of general ledgers.

  • Support Accounting Manager and Division Controller as needed during the month-end close by preparing necessary ledger entries, reports, and monthly reconciliations.

  • Respond timely to internal operations inquiries as a representative of the Finance team, and manage intra-team relationships to ensure effective communication.

  • Support Accounting Manager and Division Controller as needed for ad hoc projects and initiatives, including annual budget preparation, audit support, profitability analysis, external reporting, and department enhancements and efficiencies.



Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • 1-3 years of hands-on accounting experience preferred.

  • Must have a strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles.

  • Must have excellent attention to detail and organizational and analytical skills.

  • Must have the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.

  • Familiarity with Oracle accounting systems is a plus.

  • Must have the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Must have the ability to use tact and skill in dealing with diverse groups.

  • Must have the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Must possess the ability to identify issues and work them to closure, escalating when appropriate.
