Position Summary



As a Financial Analyst II, you will provide rating, billing and analytical support for the Patheon Logistics Business Unit within the Clinical Trials Division (CTD). You will work closely with the Finance Manager (Patheon Logistics) and the Rating and Billing team to create invoicing that is both timely and accurate based on established contracts and / or agreed upon pricing schedules with Patheon Logistics clients. Additionally, you will provide analytical support for monthly forecasting, monthly expense review, Annual Operating Plan and other ad-hoc reporting as needed.



Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Work with the Finance Manager and the Rating and Billing team to meet client demands for timely invoicing that is in accordance with pre-determined schedules and agreements.

  • Apply the appropriate contractual pricing structure, tariff and/or rate schedule by client and by project type or service level for the project(s) being invoiced, including discounts or dynamic changes, etc. when applicable.

  • Creates invoices in the format each client requires, including contractual terms, client required reference numbers, or internally required information, etc.

  • Conduct investigations and/or provides analysis as vital to the appropriate personnel for resolution in support of invoicing inquiries or issues

  • Support the Finance Manager in development of the Annual Operating Plan, monthly revenue and EBITA forecasting, monthly expense review, and other reporting as needed.

  • Look for operational improvement opportunities.

  • Other ad-hoc reporting as needed.

  • You will have a commitment to continuous learning, development for self and others, and seek opportunities to stretch capabilities.



Education




  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or other relevant background



Experience




  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience (Logistics industry preferred)



Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:




  • Strong skills with MS Office 365 (in particular, Excel and Teams) required; skills with Transportation Management Systems are preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Skilled in both verbal and written communication

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to complete tasks on time, and with accuracy

  • Able to work independently and in a team environment

  • Accountable, reliable, and willing to take ownership
