Clinical Fulfillment Pharmacist (CFP) - Northlake, TX

The Clinical Fulfillment Pharmacist (CFP) verifies the work of pharmacy technicians and ensures the accuracy of all orders fulfilled by the Vetsource Home Delivery Pharmacy. This position involves the verification of prescription orders being shipped in the pharmacy order fulfillment system.

We are looking for a Casual Pharmacist to work onsite at our Pharmacy Warehouse located off Dale Earnhardt Blvd in Northlake, TX 76262. This is an extremely part time / casual position scheduled as needed to cover for time off and fluctuations in volume. Shifts can range from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm CST Monday through Friday. This is an onsite position with no ability to work remotely. Must have reliable transportation and flexibility with scheduling to be open to a changing schedule, depending on business needs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Duties may be weighted differently in one or more areas



  • Final Order Verification (V2)



    • Verify the accuracy and validity of medications packaged in compliance packaging


    • Verify the work of pharmacy technicians and interns, including the accuracy of orders being shipped to pet owners (product scan and label review)




  • Oversee the dispensing activities of pharmacy technicians as required by law



  • Other projects related to assisting first verification team (V1) may be assigned, including but not limited to



    • Basic electronic prescription verification


    • Verbal telephone orders


    • Order clarifications




WHAT YOU BRING


  • B.S. or PharmD in Pharmacy and current pharmacist license in Texas in good standing


  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations


  • At least 1 year working as a licensed pharmacist


  • Maintains accuracy and efficiency in a highly repetitive, fast paced environment


  • Highly adaptable with a strong desire to learn and develop new processes and technologies


  • Team building skills: be positive, respectful, coachable, communicative, and collaborative


  • Dispensing skills: be accurate, efficient, detail-oriented, and dependable


  • Must continually expand and develop clinical knowledge in the field of veterinary pharmacy


  • Solid computer skills, including the ability to learn how to navigate new programs quickly. Experienced using email, Slack, GSuite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.)


  • Experience working in a high volume dispensing environment, preferred


  • Knowledge of veterinary pharmacy, preferred


  • Experience in mail-order pharmacy, preferred


  • Experience working with automation in a pharmacy setting, preferred


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Responsible for the dispensing activities of pharmacy technicians as required by law

WORKING CONDITIONS


  •  Environment where dogs are present if in the office


  • Ability to sit or stand and perform work involving a high level of physicality; checking orders involving repetitive use of arms and wrist/hands for up to 8 hours per day


  • Ability to work on highly repetitive tasks and maintain focus


  • Ability to adapt and self-direct in response to changing needs and deadlines


  • Must have flexibility with scheduling and be open to schedule changes, depending on business needs (including weekend shifts)


  • Occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds


  • Occasionally stooping, lifting and/or bending

Pay Range (US based applicants): $49.40 - $61.00 / hour

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, certifications, relevant education and training, while also considering internal equity.
