Job Description:

Schneider Electric is seeking passionate and motivated solution sales professionals to grow the Schneider Electric footprint in the Southern California (LA & surrounding county) area.

With the technology evolution upon us, we are looking for an individual to help us deliver solutions to our target vertical markets including Commercial Office, K-12, Higher Education and Healthcare.

Account Management:

Cultivate and manage enduring relationships with the following customer segments:


    • Owners / Developers

    • General Contractors

    • Mechanical/Electrical Contractors

    • MEP Consulting Engineers


Business Development:

Proactively identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities by establishing connections with:


    • Owners / Developers

    • General Contractors

    • Mechanical/Electrical Contractors

    • MEP Consulting Engineers


Technical Aptitude:

  • Demonstrate expertise in Building Automation and/or Electronic Security, staying abreast of industry trends. Apply critical thinking and relationship-building skills to devise tailored solutions for both new construction projects and established end users.

  • Educate the market on technology trends and their impact on their business.


Team Selling:
  • Strive for strategic collaboration with team members to deliver comprehensive solutions to customers. Work alongside other account managers to consolidate multiple accounts for successful project acquisition. Ensure team members are committed to essential action items for achieving success.

Subcontracting Partnerships:
  • Foster and uphold strategic alliances with electrical subcontractors to provide cost-effective solutions with minimal operational risk.

Team Player:
  • Collaborate closely with the internal sales team and operations to ensure the delivery of top-notch customer service.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in interpreting drawings and specifications at all levels from consulting engineers for HVAC and Smart Building solutions.

  • Familiarity with fundamental contract language and financial acumen.

  • Knowledge of pertinent subcontractor relationships within the BMS/low voltage community.

  • Competence in Large Account Management Planning (LAMP) and Strategic Selling (Blue Sheets).

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver compelling presentations to large groups.

Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree (ideally Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering)

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in building automation/construction industry

  • Proven track record of active involvement in Industry Networking Organizations


For this STATE based position, the expected compensation range is $96,000-144,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job (1) related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
