The Assistant Principal of IU High School Online will provide academic leadership, general oversight, and diverse perspectives that inform the work and operations of faculty, staff, and courses at IU High School Online. This position will also contribute to strategic innovation for virtual learning that is aligned to IU High School Online's Mission, Vision, and Beliefs through work with field experts, research scientists, and other IU colleagues for preparing high quality education opportunities and professionals; provide leadership in supervision and evaluation of curriculum and instruction, professional development of faculty/staff, and action research related to the school and university's mission; engage in collaborative decision-making regarding diversity and equity, inclusion, social-emotional learning, school discipline, and security, and budget; communicate and work effectively with stakeholders of IU High School Online (parents, community members, IUHS alumni, and university personnel); collaborate with the OVPUE in terms of facilities, schedules, and personnel; and be responsible for overall supervision and safety of students, faculty, staff, and visitors to the school.

Collaborates with the OVPUE in terms of facilities, schedules, and personnel; and be responsible for overall supervision and safety of students, faculty, staff, and visitors to the school.
General Responsibilities
Provides day-to-day operational management of educational resources staff.
Establishes short-term operational objectives.
Identifies operational issues and/or areas of improvement and implements solutions to improve processes and/or operational efficiency.
Analyzes, monitors, and evaluates performance of assigned staff; establishes work priorities, conducts performance reviews, and provides corrective action as needed.
Ensures adequate staffing and effective scheduling; participates and informs employment decisions for assigned staff.
Provides direct supervision and oversight of assigned staff and activities; impacts, and is held accountable for, the performance of team and/or assigned staff.
Ensures and provides training to assigned staff to improve educational resources operations; researches and identifies development opportunities for assigned staff.
Researches and stays up-to-date on new industry educational resources standards, best practices, and emerging technology; keeps next-level leader(s) informed of trends as well as significant problems.
