As the Health Geek Squad City Operations Associate Director, you will oversee planning, staffing, budgeting and successful running of Best Buy Health operations at Geek Squad City. You will maintain the quality and integrity of the Best Buy Health products that go through our kitting, cleaning, labeling and fulfilment processes. This role will manage all Health processes occurring at Geek Squad City, monitor inventory and products at various stages of the processes, and ensure compliance with established quality standards and regulatory requirements.

This individual will also be responsible for liaising between Geek Squad City and Best Buy Health leadership on the operations strategy and activities to support our growth and maintenance of quality and compliance. You will lead and manage a team of leaders across multiple shifts, provide guidance and support to ensure cohesive operations. You will work with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, including officers, executives, health system and payer customers, vendor partners, clients, and employees.

This role is on site, which means you would be required to work at Geek Squad City, Best Buy’s 240,000-square-foot repair center in Brooks, Kentucky.

What you’ll do

• Lead the Current Health, Lively and Commercial PERS product and kit operations planning and implementation at Geek Squad City (GSC), with oversight to satellite reprocessing locations.


• Collaborate with the Geek Squad City and Best Buy Health to improve upon processes for each production area within the operation.


• Manage the systems used for GSC Health work and champion new system deployment being introduced to optimize warehouse operations.


• Monitor performance quantitatively and develop and implement action plans to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in terms of cost, quality, and service.


• Analyze and report on issues and performance, providing input on key performance indicators and insights to Geek Squad City and Best Buy Health senior management for decision-making and strategic planning.


• Along with managers supervisors support training, coaching, and performance management of the team, with emphasis in execution quality and talent development.


• Ensure compliance with processes, procedures, policies, and internal and external regulations in support of our medical devices, commercial payer and consumer products.

• 8 years of experience in operations roles in the medical devices, healthcare or other regulated industry.


• 5 years of leadership experience in production or warehouse environment.


• 4 years required experience of working with medical device or other regulated products / systems within Quality Management System.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office & ERP/ large enterprise systems utilization.

• 10 years of experience in operations roles in the medical devices industry or healthcare.


• 7 years of leadership experience in production or warehouse environment.


• 6 years required experience of working with FDA regulated medical devices within Quality Management System


• Fluent in Spanish


• Lean Six Sigma certification.


• Experience working with medical kits.
