JOB DUTIES:

Process Engineer positions with Ash Grove Cement Company in Sumterville, FL . Responsible for the operational improvements of all aspects of the plant production including computer applications for process controls and will improve industrial processes in order to improve efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability. Analyze operations of the plant and make recommendations for process improvement including cost/benefit analysis. Develop process control automation and computer applications for process control. Prepare reports on the process of operating efficiencies and failure investigation tests. Perform tests on operating plant systems to determine the efficiencies of the equipment. Provide assistance to management in maintaining the plant within environmental and quality performance regulations. Perform audits and participate in month-end activity reporting. Work closely with the equipment suppliers, plant staff and Process Area Teams to ensure the successful operation of the plant. Initiate, develop and implement plant improvement projects for optimizing the manufacturing process. Provide expertise and technical knowledge to plant personnel. Maintain and further develop expertise and proficiency in cement production knowledge. Identify, recommend and implement projects that improve quality and/or reduce plant operating costs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must have at least a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, and at least 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related technical field. Stated experience must include at least 5 years of experience in each of the following: Use of the FLSmidth PXP System; Working with Data Management software such as ABB to store and provide reports related to quality and process analysis; and Mining Automation Processes.
