Crane Currency has an immediate position opening for an IT Service Desk Analyst located in Hal Far, Malta.

Your day-to-day operations and projects are the driving force to ensure our business systems are running efficiently and give the team the confidence to systems the rely on. You will be part of projects to identify future solutions that will help our business stay at the forefront of technology and a leader in our market. You will join a team that is helping to build and enable the software technology for the next generation of Crane Currency product.

  • Develops End User facing knowledge base articles in support of a Self-Service portal and drive the adoption of an End User Self-Service Portal.
  • Create and manage all IT incidents and requests utilizing the IT ticketing system including manage tickets to established SLA’s and KPI’s.
  • Support for onboard & offboard activities, including provisioning and deprovisioning of user accounts.
  • Remotely troubleshoots and provide phone support end user inquiries including but not limited to hardware, software and telecommunication issues to ensure effective and efficient incident response and escalation.
  • Participates in assigned audit tasks to maintain a secure and compliant environment including asset Management efforts of IT equipment and software licensing.
  • Actively monitors incoming phone calls to ensure effective and efficient incident response and escalation as well as monitor email ticket queue and manages tickets to ensure incidents and service requests are addressed in a timely.
  • Verifies ticket data is accurate and notes are well written to describe troubleshooting steps taken to resolve an incident/request, or reason for escalation.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:

  • Associate’s degree or International Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or MIS or commensurate experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a Customer Service facing role providing IT helpdesk, service desk or desktop support services.
  • 3+ years’ experience providing IT remote support for Windows based clients in an enterprise environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, 6am – 3pm or 9am -6pm, or a combination of both
  • Fluent in English and local language.
  • Good technical skills, experience with IT phone support, VPN, remote control tools, Windows OS, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and network connectivity.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
  • Relevant technical certifications from companies such as Microsoft or CompTIA is a plus
  • Understanding of ITIL
