Current Need
We are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team in Irving, TX.
Position Description
The Sr. Financial Analyst works closely with Solution Leaders in the McKesson Technology division and Business Unit's leaders to analyze, consolidate, and present monthly forecast variance and allocation explanations, by a variety of thresholds and formats, for the area of expense. This position is responsible for initiating customer communications with Solution Leaders or Business Unit customers by scheduling and leading monthly financial reviews for their respective areas and providing ad hoc support as necessary. Also responsible for providing monthly standardized reports across their departments and coordinating inputs for Corporate and Executive reporting deliverables. This position also works closely with NAFSS's FP&A and Accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the monthly close and forecast for area of expense
Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data from a variety of sources
Develop financial models, ad-hoc reporting, and monthly reporting of financial results to various levels of management (Solution Leaders, CIOs, and Business Unit customers)
Regularly review financial results and provide excellent analytics, accurate and clear variance explanations to FP&A Management and McKesson Technology Solution Leaders
Serve as valued business partner and finance liaison to the Solution Leaders and Business Unit customers to drive analysis, reporting, and forecasting
Recommend, develop, and implement process improvements as required
Minimum Requirements
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
Critical Skills
4+ years combined experience in FP&A, accounting, investment banking, or corporate development and strategy
Experience forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning and financial modeling, and the ability to present and communicate financial results effectively
Strong business acumen to perform financial, trend and variance analysis, identify cost drivers, and understand services and business strategy
Excellent Excel i.e. Pivot Tables, lookups and macros as well as PowerPoint skills
Experience with Business Unit allocation preferred
Additional Knowledge and Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-directed with ability to work with minimal supervision
Education
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field or equivalent experience
