Performs entry-level professional duties related to research in forestry, wildlife, and natural resource management. Works under the supervision of the Lab Specialist to conduct field and lab experiments and data collection. Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
80% - Essential - Assists in performing natural resource research in the field and lab, working under supervision by the Lab Specialist.
15% - Essential - Data entry and basic statistical analysis, performed under supervision by the Lab Specialist or Principal Investigator.
5% - Essential - Perform lab maintenance including cleaning and sterilizing materials, sorting and maintaining lab samples, and other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BS in Wildlife, Forestry, Natural Resources or related field.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with R Statistical Software
RESPONSIBILITIES:
JOB KNOWLEDGE Fundamental Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
