The Market Research Analyst is critical in supporting our business in better understanding our customers needs, and staying ahead of the competition. The Market Research Analyst is a curious, detail-oriented professional that enjoys gathering and interpreting data, conducting interviews and analyzing their collective data into actionable insights. Focused on understanding changing customers needs, identifying gaps in the marketplace and keeping on top of where our competitors are investing and how they are positioning, the Market Research Analyst creates presentations and reports that are leveraged by various stakeholders including product leaders, sales, marketing and UX teams. THIS ROLE IS LOCATED IN OUR SAINT LOUIS, MO OFFICE WITH A HYBRID SCHEDULE. What you'll do:
Data Collection and Analysis
Gather and leverage primary and secondary data using surveys, interviews and online research
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns and insights
Interpret data for meaningful insights
Research Planning - Develop research plans leveraging various research methodologies
Competitive Intelligence
Aggregate and maintain competitive research on our key competitors
Support the development of a CI framework that is scalable and repeatable
Develop methodologies for segmenting and continuously evaluating our competitors
Analyze and provide perspective on competitor positioning and G2M strategies
Identify emerging players in the market
Develop a CI notification process for stakeholders of key/urgent competitor communications/updates
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams in educating sales/AEs on competitive intel
Report Preparation, Presentation and Artifact Support
Prepare comprehensive reports/presentations summarizing research finding
Present findings to stakeholders using visual aids and engaging narratives
Develop data-driven recommendations to drive decision-making
Support the development of sales battlecards and other marketing collateral
What experience you need:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Research related field
2+ years competitive intelligence or market research, analysis and reporting experience
What could set you apart:
Master's degree
Research experience in human resource (HR), financial/lending, or background screening industries a plus
Experience leveraging Klue or other CI platforms
Proven experience of leveraging analytical skills to gather, analyze and quickly synthesize key information to objectively craft and support recommendations, used to drive business strategy or decision making
Experience working in diverse work environments and cross-functionally with different teams
Storytelling with data experience, in both report building and presenting to senior leaders
Experience working independently against tight deadlines
