Kforce's client located in Bronx, NY is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team.
Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for administering human resources policies and programs. This position will work in a team setting to solve complex HR-related issues and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
Responsibilities:
Maintains knowledge of compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; Reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
Identify areas for improvement, generate solutions, and implement new processes for improvement in areas including but not limited to payroll processing, payroll reporting and analytics, time off, onboarding, off-boarding, HR portal, compliance, recognition, and policy interpretation
Generate and analyze reporting information in areas including but not limited to payroll, time and attendance, demographics, applicant tracking, performance management, and turnover
Effectively communicate, document, and execute necessary changes to policies and procedures in collaboration with department leaders
Anticipate and plan for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with HR Manager
Assist in the formulation of objectives for personnel policies and procedures, and staffing goals
Ensure company policies are administered fairly and consistently company wide
Perform audit and compliance functions regularly on items such as benefits, personnel demographics, time and attendance, reports, and payroll information
Assist in the management and execution of bonus plans, merit processes, and routine/special request reports
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience
Experience in payroll analytics
Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and procedures
Bilingual Spanish/English
Strong Project Management skills
Strong Analytical skills
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Strong PC skills and MS Office skills, (intermediate to advance Excel skills required)
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties in a timely manner
Ability to work independently
Able to conduct multi-company payroll processing
Experience with union environment a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
