Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Advertising and Consumer Promotion (A&CP) to support the Kimberly-Clark Adult/Feminine Care (AFC) business. This position supports the AFC business through detailed financial planning and analysis involving A&CP investments and gap closing opportunities and robust control and compliance discipline.  They will also support continuous improvement efforts across the overall A&CP financial management team to drive improvement in controls, reporting, analysis and insights to influence investment decisions to drive both short-term and long-term growth.

Organization

The Senior Financial Analyst – A&CP reports to the Finance Team Leader – A&CP and is based in Neenah, WI.  Key customers include:


  • Kimberly-Clark North America General Managers (Brands) and Regional Sector Leads

  • Insights & Analytics and performance Marketing teams

  • Global Business Services (GBS) – Marketing Services Team Leader

  • Brand Finance Managers

  • KCNA FP&A Teams

Key Responsibilities 


  • Management of AFC A&CP monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting of consumer promotions and advertising programs and forecast process.  This role will require building and maintaining efficient processes and close relationships with the centralized FP&A team, business unit teams and GBS Marketing Services team, as this centralized team is responsible for forecast process and governance. 

  • Responsible for managing the A&CP investments within the brand playbooks and making recommendations to deliver or improve results.

  • Work closely with Global Business Services to deliver visual management that monitors the health of brand A&CP investments and conformance to plan

  • Lead the analysis of A&CP results and trends on a regular basis to brand teams and senior leaders.  Embed a data-driven approach to A&CP investments by leveraging measurable results and driving action to optimize, enhance and achieve objectives. Provide competitive tracking and insights to improve business strategy and planning.

  • Actively participate in the LEAN Forecast Management System (FMS) to identify and drive process improvement opportunities and maintain forecast accuracy in line with FMS annual goals.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to delivering breakthrough value by proactively presenting ideas to improve return on investments

  • Embrace and demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset to improve the quality and productivity of the KCNA A&CP teams

  • Influence cross-functional and cross-divisional teams outside of direct span of control

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field

  • 3+ years of progressive finance experience

  • Strong business judgment, problem-solving and analytical skills (applied intelligence and functional and technical competencies)

  • Experience with short and long-term financial forecasting and analysis of change methodology

  • Demonstrated organizational skills to manage functional workload, multiple priorities, and competing time demands

  • Proven effectiveness in operating within a highly matrixed organization.  Ability to build collaborative working relationships with team members both internal and external across the organization. 

  • The ability to influence without authority and drive business outcomes

  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills to deliver effective, confident, and results-oriented communications and presentations

Preferred Qualifications


  • Marketing IQ, especially with emerging trends in digital and other non-traditional channels

  • Experience providing financial expertise to Consumer Product businesses

  • FP&A experience with management reporting, P&L, Analysis of change and Cash Flow

  • Lean initiative experience: ability to identify best practices and lead process improvement projects

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize strategic corporate tools and processes for data analysis

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications
