Oversee and manage the operational flow of Oncotype Map cases, from receipt of a requisition to the signing out of the patient report. Support the tracking of cases that fall within and outside the process workflow to ensure turnaround time is optimized and required communication occurs. Work with a wide variety of external and internal parties to educate them on the process flow and assist in the ordering process, including Client Services, Histology, Pathologist, Molecular Lab, and Evidence Team. Ensure that all process flow steps are performed within confines of internal SOPs and HIPAA regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Track samples using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
Effectively track each Oncotype Map and Pharma specimen to ensure it efficiently flows through the designated workstream.
Quickly identify potential issues, and escalate appropriately, while working to solve appropriately for minimal impact to client and patient as possible.
Inform direct management of any client complaints for immediate resolution.
Basic data analysis and reports addressing production workflow and turnaround time.
Develop and document workflow charts and process steps.
Prompt documentation and reporting of all incidents; including equipment malfunctions and results that are out of specification (e.g., temperatures, contacting Vendors for timely repair, and troubleshooting).
Carry out procedures in accordance with all standards set by applicable regulatory agencies; including CLIA, CAP, and OSHA.
Adhere to HIPAA requirements concerning patient confidentiality; maintains awareness of viewable patient information and limits access to patient data on a need to know basis.
Staff the inbound phone line and assist the callers to the best of your ability, as needed.
Working efficiently within a variety of software and systems to create reports for internal clients and intervene to solve any potential problems.
Work closely with the Sales team, when required.
Work closely with Billing team, when required.
Correctly document case records to clarify test orders, specimen information, physician information, and HIPAA protected patient information.
Maintain courteous and professional working relationships with all other Exact Sciences colleagues.
Maintain knowledge of laboratory procedures and protocols.
Assist with training of employees and provides technical support, when possible.
Ability to comprehend technical material and communicate with laboratory professionals at a high level.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, Scientific, or related field; or High School Degree/General Education Diploma and 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
1+ years of experience in sample management.
Working knowledge of laboratory specimen or sample handling.
Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to work from home and/or onsite at lab.
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, Scientific or related field.
1+ years of experience working in a laboratory setting.
1+ years of experience working in a client service.
1+ years of experience working in the medical field.
