Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs production machinery to ensure an effective maintenance system and achieve the highest performance of production equipment.
Diagnoses problems and troubleshoots hydraulic and pneumatic systems for the production equipment.
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
Understands safety precautions and follows all safety procedures when completing work. Ensures that all equipment is safe before releasing to production.
Able to perform simple fabrication of mechanical components using maintenance equipment for bracketry or installation modification of electrical devices.
Performs all electrical preventative maintenance related to inspections, record results and reports as per procedure.
Work on special projects as required.
Qualifications:
Electrical/Mechanical Certificate preferred
5 + years experience
Must be able to communicate in both written and spoken English.
Must be able to work independently and as a team player.
Must demonstrate patience and consistent attention to detail.
Must have good organizational skills and be a self-starter.
Ability to read blueprints, use precision instruments (Imperial and Metric).
Ability to read and interpret Hydraulic and Pneumatic schematics.
Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED, active Electrical certificate or Electrical degree preferred.
Previous Experience in a Manufacturing or Automotive environment required.
