We are seeking a skilled Energy Attorney with at least three years of experience to join a dynamic and growing legal team in Denver, Colorado. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy law, including regulatory compliance, transactional work, permitting, and environmental considerations related to oil, gas, and renewable energy projects. Responsibilities:
Advise clients on regulatory and compliance matters under state and federal energy laws.
Draft and negotiate commercial agreements related to energy transactions (e.g., power purchase agreements, joint operating agreements, lease agreements).
Represent clients in front of state and federal energy agencies (e.g., FERC, Colorado PUC).
Support project development, financing, and due diligence.
Provide legal counsel on environmental impact and permitting issues.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in Colorado (active and in good standing).
3+ years of energy law experience, preferably at a law firm or in-house legal department.
Strong knowledge of federal and state energy regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with renewable energy law is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with regulatory proceedings, including litigation or administrative hearings.
Experience with environmental law, land use, and permitting.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
