The Account Manager, Service Sales is responsible for managing the customer relationships within their assigned accounts. This individual will be responsible for the promotion and sales of Vertiv's aftermarket service offerings, including the negotiation of maintenance contracts, scope of work, and pricing.
This position manages all sales activities and service delivery for larger, more complex accounts. Independent, creative, and critical thinking is required to meet customer demands for innovative solutions to their data center service needs. Analyze documentation and sales reports to offer the most competitive pricing plan to meet the customer's needs while meeting and exceeding sales quotas and business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and grow service sales revenue within assigned customer accounts.
Develop long term relationships as a trusted advisor, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders.
Work closely with Customer Success Managers, Vertiv Strategic, and Named Client counterparts.
Maintain strategic business profiles for each account, which includes mapping out the areas of sales growth opportunity by service offering segment.
Negotiate national agreements on behalf of the company, including all pricing, scope and SLA/KPI related deliverables.
Increase customer satisfaction by serving as a customer advocate to interact with various internal departments on behalf of the customer.
Where applicable, manage and coordinate the efforts of Local Business Partners participating in the quoting process, with a primary goal of ensuring compliance with pricing and scope levels outlined in the client's master services agreement.
Achieve progressively increasing monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas.
Maintain working knowledge of related product lines, both new and existing.
QUALIFICATIONS
BA or BS (Business or Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience
3+ years' experience in sales, service sales preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent customer service skills
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
