Volt is immediately hiring for an Inventory Clerk in Tracy, CA
As an Inventory Clerk you will:
Pull inventory for Production Work Orders and deliver to Production staging locations in a timely manner.
This includes all appropriate documentation.
Fulfill material requisitions per the Material Request Form
Storing and monitors materials (FIFO First In First Out)
When putting storeroom item(s) away with expiration dates, the newer item(s) are placed to the rear or bottom and the older material is pulled to the front or top (this includes checking for expired items).
Receiving and delivering inventory items to the appropriate departments.
Maintains a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures.
Executes "Stock Check" as requested by the Operations Staff and Management Team.
Performs other duties as assigned:
Weekly Cycle Count Program
Warehouse and Material organization and cleanliness.
Replemishes kanban stocking locations
ERP experience is a plus. This will ensure material is located physically and, in the system, real-time.
Maintains a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures and Quality.
This knowledge may include the use of specialized instrumentation.
Quality control requirements, and preventive maintenance.
Reports/documents to Management in a timely manner all inventory issues, potential, and actual errors
Accurately executes inventory transactions in the ERP system.
Keeping coworkers informed of the status of their Work Orders, Material Requests, and received goods.
Ensures all appropriate equipment is being maintained and a Supervisor/Manager is notified of mechanical problems, of equipment used.
This a full-time temp to hire opportunity.
Monday - Thursday 8am-4:30pm Friday 7am - 3:30pm
The ideal candidate will have:
Ability to communicate effectively, utilizing both verbal and writing skills.
Must be able to operate machinery, i.e., pallet jacks, Forklift
Demonstrates effective communication, interpersonal skills, organizational ability, knowledge of proper body mechanics, safety measures, and ability to follow instructions.
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
