As a CNC Programmer you will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs using MasterCam software for CNC lathes, vertical mills, and multi-axis horizontal boring mills. The role involves collaboration with machinist, engineers, and other team members to ensure efficient and precise manufacturing processes.
Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs using MasterCam software
Program CNC lathes, vertical mills, and multi-axis horizontal boring mills for precision machining
Create and modify machine setups, including tool paths and cutting parameters
Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for efficient and accurate machining
Analyze and optimize programs to reduce cycle times and increase tool life
Work closely with machinist to ensure programs are executed accurately and efficiently
Address issues related to programming, tooling, and machine setup, and implement corrective actions
Maintain organized and accurate documentation of CNC programs, tool lists, and setup sheets
Ensure all programs comply with company quality standards and industry best practices
Stay up-to-date with advancements in CNC programming and machining technologies
Identify and implement improvements in programming processes and techniques
Performs other duties as assigned
Develop programs for a CNC tube bender utilizing YLM programming software
This is a full time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Preferred Education: Associate's degree or certification in CNC programming or manufacturing technology preferred
3+ years manufacturing / programming CNC lathes, mills and multi-axis machines
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software using solid modeling is essential (Mastercam preferred)
Strong understanding of G-Code and M-Code programming required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings using GD&T
Comfortable working in a shop floor setting with noise, dust, and varying temperatures
Comfortable working in an office setting
Pay Rate: $33.65 per hour
