Your new role


As a Communications Systems Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Systems Engineering Team, working on projects including the Battery Park Commission Resiliency Upgrade and a Consolidated System for the MTA. This will involve:
Developing construction contract drawings and specifications for rail transit communications systems.
Developing technical papers, reports, and calculations.
Generating proposals, reports, and presentations for key audiences.
Developing cost estimates for equipment and installation.



What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years (10 years preferred) of experience in systems engineering.
PE license preferred; BICSI RCDD certification preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
Preferred experience with rail and transit projects.



Technical Expertise:

Fiber optic and copper cabling design.
Low voltage electrical distribution systems.
Conduit infrastructure.
IP networks.
RF design for voice and data communications.
Public Address and Passenger Information Systems.
Telephone systems.
Wireless systems (SHF/UHF/VHF).
