Job Description:

The Fox West YMCA, in Greenville, is hiring day camp counselors for this summer's Camp Fox West & Greenville Elementary school age programs. Spend your summer both indoors and out, exploring nature, playing games, creating art and teaching school age children. This seasonal opportunity is perfect for those who love working with kids, teachers seeking a summer job, college students looking for experience, and anyone who has a passion for children and tons of fun!
Day Camp Lead: Responsible for the day-to-day operation of all day camp procedures, health and welfare of campers, security, and communication with staff and parents. Responsible for providing leadership for the Day Camp Program in both large and small group activities.

Day Camp Assistant: Assist and provide a variety of developmentally appropriate material and activities, which foster social skills and encourages children to think, problem solve, question and experiment. Implements a daily schedule based on developmentally appropriate activities for school aged children.

This is a full- or part-time position, with trainings starting in late May/early June, children arriving June 9 and runs through August 2025.
Full-time hours: Monday-Friday, varying shifts - 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM to 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Part time hours: Monday-Friday, 6:15 AM-12:15 PM and 12:15 PM-6:00 PM
