Job Description:

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Sanitation Supervisor, Sanitation Operators are responsible for cleaning and maintaining production areaand facility andany other assigned areasin our manufacturing plant in a safe and efficient manner as it relates to production SOPs, following the close of production.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must follow plant safety guidelines and wear PPE when cleaning


• Assist the sanitation employees when necessary


• Lock out machinery that is being cleaned

• Issue safety and sanitation supplies


• Submit required information/forms to theQuality Assurance Supervisor


• Disassemble, reassemble and sanitize equipment


• Properly mix and verify chemical concentrations


• Other duties as assigned


• Perform other job functions as related to the position as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Forklift Operator certification


• Experience handling chemicals or working with chemical hygiene required


• Excellent attendance and safety record


• Must be able to communicate in oral/written form of English


• Basic knowledge of Sanitation procedures


• Must be able to stand for long periods of time


• Must be able to lift approximately 60 lbs without limitations

• Able to work rotating shifts, if necessary


• Able to work overtime, weekends and holidays


• Able to work in a refrigerated environment
