BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Facility Support Engineer opportunity in Santa Monica, CA.

Job Type: [FULL TIME] (>=40 HRS WEEKLY)], [CONTRACT], [ONSITE]



Pay Range: $38/hr to $40/hr on W2



Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Candidate Requirements:

• Years of Experience Required: 5 overall years of experience in the field.


• Degrees or certifications required: No degree is required to be eligible for this role. A professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus.


• Disqualifiers: None.


• Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain previous experience supporting the gaming industry. Previous experience supporting the TV or film industry is also a plus as the skills could transfer well.


• Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on measurements tickets closed and GIRA system to track performance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux server operating systems and applications.


• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.


• Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.


• Manage network servers and technology tools.


• Set up accounts and workstations.


• Upgrade systems with new releases and models.


• Develop expertise to train staff in innovative technologies.


• Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Windows IT Administrator, System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role.


• Experience with networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management.


• Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.


• Experience with Azure and common cloud administration.


• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.


• Excellent communication skills.


• BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience; professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience

Minimum 5 years' experience with End user support (Application and hardware).

Minimum 3 years' experience with Azure

Minimum 3 years' experience with M365 admin/Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
