Volt is immediatrly hiring a 3rd shift experienced Janitor in Carlsbad, Ca. to work Sunday to Thursday
Job Summary The Janitorial Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing daily and scheduled janitorial services throughout the GNNA Carlsbad facility. This includes cleaning and sanitizing production areas, restrooms, and common areas, maintaining inventory of janitorial supplies, and assisting with minor maintenance tasks. This role supports operational excellence by ensuring a clean, safe, and organized environment, and works closely with the manufacturing and management teams. As a Janitor you will:
Perform daily janitorial services 5 days per week, along with assigned weekly and monthly tasks
Empty trash receptacles throughout the facility
Clean floors by vacuuming, dust mopping, and damp mopping
Spot clean carpets and polish metal and glass surfaces
Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms regularly
Disinfect high-touch surfaces daily
Restock café supplies and maintain cleanliness in common areas
Follow the cleaning schedule, including special assignments (e.g., dusting blinds, vents, picture frames)
Replace light bulbs and assist with minor maintenance tasks
Organize and maintain janitorial supply inventory; track usage and submit reorders
Complete café inventory and request supplies as needed
Maintain communication with all departments in a professional and courteous manner
Research and assist in sourcing replacement spare parts when assigned
Secure the building daily and perform assigned duties on flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed
Document cleaning activities per the Master Sanitation Schedule
Report any maintenance or repair issues to the Maintenance Manager
Clean and maintain outdoor areas, including gathering spaces and compactors
Build strong working relationships with production staff and management
Support and uphold all company policies, goals, and safety standards
Additional Responsibilities
Perform sanitation activities in production per schedule
Assist in achieving 90% waste diversion goals
Perform other duties as assigned by management

The ideal candidate wil have: Qualifications
High School Diploma preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-2 years of janitorial or facility maintenance experience preferred
Ability to read and follow written instructions and cleaning schedules
Capable of working independently and managing time effectively
Must be able to lift, move, and handle janitorial supplies safely
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to safely work with chemicals, amino acids, vitamins, and allergen products in powder or liquid form
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to evaluate and implement effective solutions
Professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
