Controller – Hybrid - Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee A/P, A/R, billing, fixed assets, payroll, monthly financial reporting and other traditional accounting functions
Act as the primary liaison with our accounting firm for the annual review and tax filings
Be a part of the annual insurance renewal process and provide the data that is needed for the renewal
Work with the CFO on monthly financial statements ensuring accuracy and reporting integrity
Create and maintain a strong compliance and internal controls environment
Assume a key role in the management of the ERP system
Work with the accounting team to streamline and automate accounting functions
Work with the CFO on FAR accounting/compliance/audit
Tax compliance with various state tax requirements
Provide reports as requested by various levels of the Company
Work closely to manage expenses and look for cost savings
Oversee sales and use tax reporting, Form 1099 filings and other reporting/compliance requirements
Ad hoc accounting & financial analysis and projects as necessary
Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory requirements
Leads, develops, and motivates a team of accounting professionals by empowering and encouraging initiative, requiring high quality work, communicating openly and honestly and providing regular, fair and honest performance feedback
Other duties as requested/assigned

Requirements:
Controller – Hybrid - Skills & Requirements:
Strong skills in ERP systems to be able to work within them to write reports, workflows and manage the data
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, predominantly Microsoft Excel
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
10+ years of relevant accounting experience + 3 years as a Controller/Finance Manager
CPA strongly encouraged
Previous supervisory experience
Effective communicator and presenter at all levels of the organization
Strong knowledge of GAAP reporting requirements
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated and directed
