Your new company


Our client, a national General Contractor based in Northern Virginia, founded over 45 years ago, is seeking to hire an Estimator to join their growing team. They operate in multiple sectors, including commercial, educational, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, laboratory, mission-critical facilities, multifamily residential, and worship spaces with a large prepense in Virginia, Texas and Georgia. They are a top ENR Contractor every year.



Your new role


As an Estimator, you will join an established team of four, including the VP of Pre-construction and three Estimators and will be responsible for estimating on projects across various sectors with projects valued over $100Million+ and smaller interior projects. You will be responsible for reviewing blueprints, and assessing labor, material, and equipment costs to develop accurate budget proposals. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and vendors to gather pricing information, evaluate potential risks, and ensure competitive estimates. Refine project schedules, track cost fluctuations, and adjust estimates based on scope changes, ensuring financial efficiency throughout the construction process.



What you'll need to succeed
2+ years' experience estimating on construction projects whilst working for a General Contractor.
Experience bidding across all divisions.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay attention to detail.
Ability to read and analyze construction drawings and perform take-offs.



What you'll get in return
Base salary is $80,000 - $100,000 dependent on level of experience.
