Job Summary: I'm seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee construction projects across the state of Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale commercial construction projects, with a preference for experience in big-box retail projects. This role requires frequent travel and the ability to manage multiple project sites simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Oversee daily site activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Leadership: Directly manage and coordinate lead personnel and staff on each project site, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process.
Client Interaction: Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a lead superintendent in commercial construction. Experience with big-box projects is preferred, but general ground-up commercial experience is also acceptable.
Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
Travel: Willingness to travel frequently throughout the state of Florida.
Preferred Experience:
Big Box Projects: Experience managing large-scale retail construction projects, such as those for Walmart, Target, or Home Depot.
Ground-Up Construction: Proven track record in managing ground-up commercial construction projects from inception to completion .
