Altec is looking for individuals to join our Work Truck team to support the Supply Chain for External Bodies. This position will be responsible for quoting, expediting materials and building relationships with Altec's external body suppliers while focusing on quality, cost and delivery. The preferred locations for this position are Burnsville, NC or Birmingham, AL.

Major Responsibilities:

• Primary point of contact for Altec's network of non-Altec body suppliers


• Monitor and Communicate KPI's with partners/ suppliers for all work truck bodies


• Qualify and onboard new partners and products prior to quoting


• Implement supplier agreements


• Create, adjust, and communicate production/stocking plans across body partners


• Manage design projects with non-Altec body suppliers from creation to implementation


• Assist sales with technical product information through training, customer visits, and trade shows


• Communicate and coordinate business unit's requirements to customers and suppliers:
  
  
  • Needs, deadlines, impact to schedule, available alternatives
  
  
  • Includes internal and external customers/suppliers.
  
  
  
  


• Commitment to expediting, prioritizing, and planning for the business unit's needs


• Analyze and prepare product information such as price, availability, specifications, and delivery schedules to sales, operations, and marketing teams to assist in the sale and promotion of products


• Educate support partners with continuous improvement programs to reduce costs, improve product quality, or improve availability to maximize ROI


• Identify and assist with the execution of purchase order requirements


• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.

• 4-year Degree preferred.

OR -

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience required: 6 years applicable experience with at least 2 of those years with Altec, Supply Chain Functions preferred.

AND -

• Microsoft Office suite experience required.

• Knowledge of supply chain principles and concepts required.

• ERP system experience preferred.

• Travel required up to 35%
