• Team includes three senior developers with 20+ years of experience (.NET REST Services, SQL, NoSQL).
  
  
• Long-term goal: Building a Full Stack development capability within the team.
  
  

Role Overview


The Application Developer II is responsible for developing, designing, testing, and implementing database applications that support core systems. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, improving system integration, identifying gaps, and delivering solutions that meet business needs.


Key Responsibilities

• 
  Develop and implement solutions using third- and fourth-generation programming languages.
  
  
• Work with technical teams and business partners to understand platforms, APIs, services, and database structures.
  
  
• Perform object-oriented and structured programming based on business needs.
  
  
• Conduct research, analysis, and design to create technical documentation and test plans for host applications.
  
  
• Analyze user requirements and prepare technical design specifications.
  
  
• Optimize database design, maintenance, and performance tuning for reliability and efficiency.
  
  
• Troubleshoot core system issues, recommending and implementing solutions.
  
  
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws.
  
  

Qualifications

• 
  Education: Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience preferred.

    5+ years in software analysis, development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation.
    
    
  • 
    Financial industry experience is a plus.
    
    
  
  
  
  
•

  • Strong knowledge of multi-tier software architecture, object-oriented programming, Agile & Waterfall SDLC.
    
    
  • Expertise in core system infrastructure (operating systems, web servers, databases).
    
    
  • Proficiency in XML, SQL, class methods, COBOL, TAL, TACL, Caché ObjectScript.
    
    
  • 
    Leadership experience is preferred.
