Responsibilities:
Develop and support embedded application software for next-generation ground combat vehicles, contributing to system design, integration, and testing.
Design, develop, and integrate embedded software for combat vehicle systems.
Migrate and configure software development environments for documentation, code, and testing.
Develop and test software solutions across various vehicle domains, including board support, displays, power management, diagnostics, and embedded training.
Perform software requirements analysis, design, and architecture documentation.
Implement software solutions that influence vehicle architecture and integrate software releases across multiple CSCIs.
Conduct hardware/software integration, debugging, and validation throughout testing phases.
Work with network protocols (RS-232/422, CAN, TCP/IP, UDP/IP) and middleware solutions (DDS, Kafka, Pub/Sub).
Support agile development, leading scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, PI planning, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Project Management, and Software Quality teams to ensure seamless integration.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
7-10+ years of software development experience.
Experience with programming languages: Java, C++, C, C#, Python, Qt.
Proficiency in version control and development tools: Git, Bitbucket, MATHWORKS.
Experience with operating systems: VxWorks, Linux, RTOS, Virtualization, BSPs, GVOS.
Expertise in network and serial protocols: RS-232/422, CAN, TCP/IP, UDP/IP.
Familiarity with middleware architectures: DDS, Kafka, Pub/Sub.
Knowledge of ground combat vehicle network architecture, including NGVA, UKGVA, GCIA, MOSA, SOSA, and FACE.
Experience working in Agile development environments and utilizing Agile tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
Defense industry experience.
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Type 1/2 Hypervisors.
Experience with IoT concepts, Cameo Systems Modeler, and Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN).
Knowledge of multicast networking, DDS, and TCP/UDP protocols.
Ability to support continuous improvement processes and methodologies.
Willingness to work occasional evening or weekend overtime.
