The Contracts Administrator is responsible for supporting the development of proposals for government, research and development contracts and the preparation and verification of related invoices and project work performed under such contracts.
What You Will Do:
Administers post award activities of multiple, government and contracted research contracts from funding agencies including Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Transportation (DOT), etc.
Assists Vice President of Government Services and Project Managers in reviewing contracts, researching data, following up with Contractors on contractual issues and providing detail information for executing contract modifications.
Prepares contractual documents such as Annual Representations and Certifications, Subaward Agreements and Non-disclosure Agreements, and Contract Close-out documents.
Distributes contractual documents such as contract award schedules/delivery orders, subcontractor task orders and change/modifications, obtain signatory authorization of contracts and request for Taxpayer Identification Numbers and Certificates.
Supports the invoicing process including preparation and review, as well as submission to clients.
Provides accurate and useful reports on the financial aspects of contracted research projects.
Ensures that specific grant requirements and policies are followed.
Assists external or government auditors, Contracting Officer's representatives, subcontractors, buyers, accounting staff and co-workers in responding to and/or resolving contracts issues including billing inquiries.
What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred
Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience preferred
An equivalent combination of education and business-related experience will be considered
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of management; ability to interact well with team members and clients.
Ability to develop a working knowledge of ABS Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and related instructions, as well as the ABS Employee Safety Policy.
Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Management System.
Reporting Relationship:
Reports to a Manager, Director or Executive level position and may have individual contributor direct reports.
