Position OverviewThe Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Kansas is seeking candidates for a one-year full-time position with responsibilities for teaching courses in the Department's on ground master's and online doctoral programs, with a primary focus in the Higher Education Administration program. This nine-month, non-tenure track appointment will begin on August 18th, 2025 and has a limited term date of May 16th, 2026.

Job DescriptionTeaching 60% - Teaching a total of 6 graduate level courses (3 courses each semester) in the following areas: student development theory; introduction to student affairs; research on college students; and diversity leadership (MSE and/or EdD). Additional opportunities could include teaching courses such as: assessment in higher education; law and policy in higher education; finance of higher education, or developing a course with interest to students in the School of Education and Human Sciences.
Service 20% - Contributing to the program and department including contribution on doctoral committees, department and program meetings, and committees such as development of an online master's program or EdD curriculum assessment.
Research 20% - Advance a scholarly program of research, which may include conference presentations or publications.
Additional Requirements
The successful candidate will teach courses on the main campus in Lawrence, Kansas, as well as online courses. This position must be able to be physically present on KU's Lawrence campus with scheduled office hours, on-campus instruction, committee meetings, etc.
