Project Engineer at HAYS in Manhattan, New York

Job Description:

Hays is working with a phenomenal growing civil general contractor. This is a medium-sized family-owned civil contractor who is looking to add a Project Engineer to their team. They work on NYCDDC, MTA, and NYSDOT design-build projects valued over 100 million dollars. They pay for health care fully and offer a 401k, car allowance, and yearly bonus. Responsibilities

• Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines.


• Responsible for RFIs, change orders. budgets, schedules, and submittals.


• Processes owner billings and project related accounting issues.


• Work directly with the Project Manager and attend meetings with them.


• Help with morning safety meetings and communicate with the subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a Construction Related Degree.


• 1 - 3 years' of experience with civil construction projects as a Project Engineer or Field Engineer.


• Preferred experience with Bluebeam, Procore, HCSS and Microsoft Office Suite.


• Ability to travel throughout the New York City Area.
