Hands-on supervisor role in a critical outbound shipping operation
The Opportunity
As a Shipping Supervisor with Tradebe, you'll play a key role in overseeing outbound container logistics and ensuring all shipments meet safety and regulatory requirements. You'll lead your shift as a working supervisor, guiding your team, preparing documentation, and supporting safe and compliant operations. Key Job Responsibilities
Supervise and support the performance and activity of your shift team
Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and regulations
Ensure containers meet DOT compliance specifications for outbound shipping
Identify and assemble materials and containers for shipment
Prepare proper labeling and markings for outbound container loads
Complete manifests, outbound verification reports, and related documentation
Segregate loads in accordance with D.O.T. regulations
Stage, store, or move materials to appropriate locations
Perform daily forklift inspections and operate equipment as needed
Accurately track drum storage and container movements
Support processing operations as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience operating a forklift required
Previous supervisory or lead experience in an industrial environment is a plus
Knowledge of hazardous waste handling and DOT compliance is preferred
Ability to read, understand, and apply SOPs and shipping documents
Comfort with basic math and solving operational issues
Ability to wear a respirator (requires being clean-shaven when needed)
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
Ability to work the assigned schedule and be on-site as required
Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and compliance
Ability to read, write, and understand English
